On Tuesday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 struck the small country of Haiti. As of Friday, government estimates had the death toll at more than 50,000, and it is expected to get close to 100,000.
Many of Haiti’s 3 million people have no access to food, water, shelter and electricity. Many of them are homeless.
We have all been touched -- and wonder how can we help.
A good place to express your compassion, and know it will go where you want it to go is to give to trusted ministries that already had a caring ministry to the people of Haiti before the Quake.
Mac Barn who heads Christian Ministry that for sometime has been touching the Haitian people with both meeting the physical needs with feeding programs, but also feeding them spiritual.
If we meet physical needs only with out meeting the spiritual needs -- what meaning does that have against the backdrop of eternity.
It does not have to be either or -- we can do both.
I have know Mac for almost 25 years and he is a man of integrity.
Please consider channeling the help you are giving to an on the ground trusted ministry.
